Lem Elway and Chad Ripke are recognized with Merit and Achievement Awards by the NWBC. Glen Walker from Auburn Mountainview gave a great presentation on Pressure Offense that kicked off Saturday and Craig Hyatt from East Valley (Yakima) held a 2 hour plus Q & A on hitting Saturday night. Both couldn’t have represented Washington any better. Jerry Gatto, director of the NWBC, is recognized buy the WSBCA and awarded the Don Freeman Dedication and Commitment to High School Baseball Award for 2019. Inscription below:

Pete Doumit Honored with Ethics in Baseball Award at the 2019 ABCA Convention
Longtime Washington State coach Pete Doumit, along with Vanderbilt University Head Coach, Tim Corbin (pictured below), was honored with the Ethics in Baseball Award at this years ABCA National Convention in Dallas, Texas. The award not only recognized Coach Doumit’s dedication to Washington baseball but his impact on baseball at the national level as his character and integrity was recognized along with influential coaches across the nation. Coach Doumit’s legacy of a lifetime sharing his love of life and baseball with his community, his players and teams, and his family has been cemented not only in Washington State, but has catapulted him on par with the nations finest coaches. Coach Doumit’s memorial service in September was attended by almost 1000 people in remembrance of his selfless dedication to baseball, integrity, servant leadership, and mentorship of student-athletes. Faith Doumit and and her children accepted the award in honor of Coach Doumit.

2018 WASHINGTON STATE MERIT AWARD WINNERS
Congratulations to Gail Meier (Tahoma), Todd Gibson (Ellensburg), and Jeff Weible (North Kitsap) for being honored by the NWBC as their Merit Award Winners from Washington State in 2018.
Over 150 Coaches from Washington were in attendance this year. Thanks to JERRY GATTO AND THE NWBC FOR PROVIDING AN EXCELLENT LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
